the snipers for under 400 bucks are not as good as the big 5 snipers. for 350-400 bucks you get pot metal or alum mounts. the scope is not made at the russian factory that made the ww2 scopes.
all my big 5 is missing is correct history . many aim and century snipers are so far removed from orig that they also might as well be fake. i was at a local gun store the other day [ fowlers in orange ] that wanted 900 dollars for a 43 izzy AIM that had no proper markings on the rifle, scope or mounts. very few snipers out their are 100 % the real deal. so just because it is from AIM Century etc does not make it a real correct sniper. remember they have been importing these snipers for over 25 years. i have not seen 1 sniper at a gun store or gun show that is all their.

There's a scoped 1937 Izzy at Big 5 in Puyallup WA. Everyone was going crazy for it saying it was super rare and the scope alone was worth big bucks. The rifle is all matching, but the scope has a very poorly electropenciled serial on it. After I actually took a look at it closely the scope had 1961 stamped on it. I asked them if the scope was original to the rifle, and they said yes, it was an authentic sniper from WWII. It's now on 'super sale' for $595.
