Mismarked Mosin M39 - $250 to start

Postby DevilDog » Fri Dec 14, 2012 10:25 am

I love finding mismarks on GB:

This unit was listed as an M91/30, but is an M39 selling for a bit under the going rate:

The year and arsenal are not listed, but it looks to be a wartime SAKO.

That was a good looking Mosin, I hope someone on here got it!

Every snowflake is unique. There are uncountable grains of sand on the beach. Mosin-Nagants are like sandy snowflakes. You’ll never get all the ones you want.

Ya, in the last hours when no one had bid I decided to pick it up.

Kind of a grab bag as the barrel stamp is not shown, but for the price it will do.

What I thought may be a civil guard number is on the wrong side and on the receiver where the s/n's go. So no clue as to the Year, Arsenal, or what the tang date is.

The guy has not been able to send me a photo as the NC shop he works in has done $5000 a day since Newtown, and they had a Tea Party rally scheduled prior to that for which the media is now hounding them...
