Oh, now I understand why someone bid on the rifles I have been watching for a week. That's ok, I wanted his other one anyway.

It's the same guy I stole the M28-76 from. Now I am on the Sk.Y and he's gonna make up some of that money. Sold my plumb barrel to justify the price.

Anyone thinking of bidding against me prepare for war :x

The bores on the sneak's are quite minty. That pair went for $500 each. I have been seeing some unissued postwar M39's coming through GB, including a postwar unissued Sk.Y #504050($505).

I was lucky to get the unissued 'sneak' M28-76 action, so I wanted a more battle worn M39 for my collection.
Just won it, cannot wait for it to arrive:

Had to step up, but if there is a lower serial Sk.Y M39 I would love to see it. Production Serial numbers were supposed to start at 500000 for 20,000. However, only half the contract was completed by the time the war ended, estimated at a total of 10,500.

Vic Thomas (MosinNagant.net)reports SAKO produced Civil Guard production ran from 1942 to 1944 with the highest reported number serial number of 509667.

An interesting note, this week one of the HIGHEST seen serial number Sk.Y M39's was sold:

Thanks! It is the Civil Guard Honorary Blue Cross for service in the Suojeluskunta or Lotta Svard.

It will look great wrapped around the butt of that rifle..

I am such a Finnatic (Finn addict).
