Got to shoot 1922 91/30

Postby beemaster » Thu Apr 17, 2014 8:22 pm

I'll add pictures at the bottom, this weekend I went to Mississippi to meet with members from my beekeeping forum. There, Gary Farmer member of the forum and I got to shoot his 91/30 and his m39.

I'll say first that his 1922 91/30 is in remarkable condition. From one end to the other original and untouched and magnificent shape, would love to know the history of this wonderful weapon.

I could not travel with guns easily, being from New Jersey too many rules just to make it to the airport because sense it's not my final destination they won't let me drive there, almost literally. So Gary brought his guns so we could shoot them and I could see how mine would feel when I finally get to shoot mine - long story.

I have the M44 and Russian SKS. I don't have cases for either yet, they are both relatively new to me and I cannot go to range to fire them without them being cased. So while I wait to get those and get to the range, I was going to see Gary first and he brought the weapon along.

Here's a few pictures I grabbed while I was able to.

That's a great looking classic he has. She NJ has so many regs on gun transportation.
What's the mark on the end of the bolt handle?
