For a complete M28/76 thats about 100 dollar cheaper then the average sale. That's a great deal if the bore isn't shot out.

I second that. That really cheep.

Shot out or not why would anyone want to mod one of those. It's not worth it money wise.

If you read the description it says it was probably an earlier Target rifle. So it was modded for that purpose alone. I have seen these before come up for sale at much higher prices. If the bore is as described my bet is its a steal for a long range Target rifle and will be a great purchase. Had I not already been so heavily vested in rifles that I can only shoot 1 at a time. I'd be all over this considering the description and remembering when Tennesee Gun's actually had these yrs ago. A fellow I know here in Ga. bought one and it out shot everything at the range here.

Those things are stupid accurate, I've aquired 2 barreled actions that I built and they are one hole rifles at 100 with handloads if you can do your part, I've personally shot an 1 3/4" 3 shot group at 450 yds with my white stock build...

And really all it is, is a trued up action and better barrel. with nicer sites and a tiny bit of trigger improvements.
Action truing does work. Its been proven thousands of times at target shoot.

Nice. You ever notice how much those bullet impacts on steel look like moon craters? :wt*:

As far as the M28/76 goes I believe one could easily reproduce a rifle of the same abilities today. It's just getting everything just right.
