Suhl 150 stock for mosin

Postby farmerboy78 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 6:12 pm

Hey guys, I recently picked up a Suhl 150 target stock off ebay... it is originally for a target .22 and has form very similar to the finn 28/76 stock... today I got my Dremel out and began the layout and inletting to make it fit a mosin... took me right at 6 hrs to inletting and begin bedding the rifle...I had to trim a few inches off the target rail on the under side of the stock, but all in all it has turned out nice!!! I'm actually considering dropping in my 28/76 when it's all done... but if I dont, it will definitely be holding a finn of some sort. Check them out... will post pics soon...

Very cool! 8-)

A guy over on SRF put his Mosin in one... he rechambered it to .308 and uses it for a Palma rifle (slow fire) single shot only. He left the magazine out and uses the rear action screw in the sear screw hole w/ a pillar.

Here is the link... http://www.surplusrifleforum.com/viewto ... 2&t=131787

I'm looking forward to pictures of yours farmerboy78!!

I like the idea of the pillar where the trigger mounting screw is located...make a pillar with male screw threads on one end to firmly mount the trigger, and drill and tap the other end to attach the stock to...hmmm

I actually am keeping the magazine, which is why I had to trim the target rail... I don't think I'm going to show the bare wood, but I haven't decided on the finish yet... any suggestions?
