Heratige Arms Rough Rider 22LR/.22WMR

Postby Marauder 1 » Thu Jun 16, 2016 11:33 pm

Anyone here have one of these cool single action pistols? I've had one for a while an really like taking it to the range. Looking for mods and tips to make it even better.
Thanks
Mark

I've had one for a few years now. I actually really like mine. It isn't what most would consider a "nice" revolver but it sure is a fun revolver. The trigger on mine is pretty darn good. Something I've always wanted to do was find some larger grips, the stock ones feel too small for me. They make a lot of aftermarket grips for them but I think they are all the same size. I have found mine to be plenty accurate with both cylinders and have had a lot of fun with it. Especially now that I can actually find .22 ammo again.

So does yours have the fixed sites? I've been wanting to upgrade mine to adjustable but I'm not sure that is doable.. I don't think these are CA compliant any more but mine is grandfathered in. Which barrel did you get? I opted for the 6 inch. It's a little heavier but it's a really fun pistol to practice one handed with. It's also a great pistol to train a beginner on. If your looking for larger grips I might know someone.

I've got the six inch barrel as well, the front sight is "hammer adjustable" (other wise known as fixed) . It is a great single action training revolver. The weight pretty much makes what little recoil there would be nonexistent. I've thought about doing a trigger job on mine but like I said it's really pretty good already.
