My G22 is my go to carry in the winter. In summer I drop down to my G23 because it fits in my shorts pocket better. Weighs a little less too so it don't pull on the waist as bad.

People like Glock, I don't. People like AK, I don't...

I tried several times G22, rented it at a shooting range, it performed well, but ergonomically it feels bulky to me... Too much plastic... They easily could make it more comfortable in a hand, Beretta did, Beretta PX4 Storm, ever tried that gun?

Listen, I don't hate Glock, I agree with the guy in this video, Glock Hates Us, That's the problem! I want to love it, I've invested in it so much, yet it is unrequited love...

His complaints seem to be the same as every other manufacturer. 5 lb seems to be about the norm on about all stock pistols I've picked up. Says the barrel is weaker because if you accidentally double charge a cartridge it can blow up. I'd say any other pistol would also. Most guns come with crappy sights anymore. That's why the aftermarket is so big for all guns


Kinda seems to me that he's just aggravated that his $500 glock doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a $2500 custom comp pistol.

I personally would not want anything lighter than a 5 lb trigger on something that only has a trigger safety. I suppose if you only used it for competition that'd be ok but I'd hate to have it in your pants or pocket and have something catch your 1 or 2 lb trigger while fishing or unloading the minivan trunk or something.

I mean I am not a diehard Glocker. In fact I hated them for years before breaking down and buying one. But it seems to me this guy just wanted to gripe about something.

This brand is the most recognizable of all pistols, so there is an "Awe" factor always, expectation of something absolutely incredible, which is disappears really fast after close encounter.
Glock, is just a pistol, good pistol which does its job, with normal standard quality ammo. Very affordable in original configuration, but by no means it is "Perfection", as the brand claims.
Well, maybe I'll like Glock little more, after buying G20... There is so much to change & convert... Endless options...

All Russian web media went absolutely NUTS when Glock opened a plant in Moscow, Russia, within "Orsis" company, so much so, they equipped every shooting range close by with Glock. So "experts" of YouTube literally FLOODED the internet with worship to Glock...
They all use the superlative degree language without comparing the thing to anything...
I guess, if "Orsis" would start to produce FN Five-Seven, the reaction of gun hungry masses would be exactly the same!

I totally understand what you are saying, but to me it's a $500 pistol. Maybe I've just seen too many guns but I don't expect premium features unless I'm paying for them. Just like I don't expect the same features and quality from a Ruger American as I expect from a Ruger Precision Rifle. My first on was exactly what I expected it to be. They will fire under any and all of the most extreme conditions, which means it's going to have a sloppy fit to accommodate dirt and grit. I totally expected that. I also expected the minor loss in accuracy to a sloppy fit. I expected the heavy trigger with that being the only safety. One thing I didn't expect but enjoy is the very low amount of muzzle rise. The compact slim design of the slide reduces weight and allows placement of your hand closer to the center of the path of travel of the slide. Less weight means less inertia which means less force pulling up on the barrel when the slide reaches its rearward position, and higher placement of the hand means more control because the inertia has less leverage on your hand. I can fire my G22 pretty darn quick while staying on target. Compared to other pistols I have shot that have very tall heavy slides.

Maybe their idea of "perfection" is the perfect carry weapon? In that respect I still don't know if I'd call it perfect, but it's close. It's completely drop safe and it can be drawn and fired quickly with no safety to switch, reliably goes bang every time, can fire quickly on target. The sites are not great for precision work but while transitioning from target to target in multiple threat type scenarios I find the heavy lined, open sights allow me acquire the target faster than precision pinpoint sights. I may not hit his shirt buttons but two to the chest, good to go. Large capacity mags. The polymer frame keeps the gun very light and comfortable even with a full mag. I'm not sure I'd go as far as perfection, but I do feel the safest and the most at ease when I'm carrying my glocks over any other of my guns or pistols.

Well, it is really hard to accept the mysterious philosophy of Glock's "Perfection", what ever that means...
You're right, there is no way to find any gun which would have all the features of "the best of the best" in every category for $500, such gun doesn't exist, therefore, no use to look for one, so, just grab a Glock & use it...
What I've figured, it is probably not worth to upgrade Glock's platform, it doesn't make it much better anyways, it just must be accepted the way it is...
Glock is indeed brilliant idea, look, everybody love it! Russians, Americans, Germans, you name it... Gun hungry population as well as Gun overfed population... Unbelievable!
Who ever designed this pistol is worthy of Nobel Prize, hands down.

According to the information I have from friends at SOCOM ; the Glocks they are getting are straight off the "line" production model , 6.40" threaded barrel , .40cal Glocks . SOCOM surveyed their field personnel two years ago , requesting "Operators" to rate a list of hand-guns . Kind of a , "What would you carry into operations , if you had a choice"? , survey . Ninety-three per- cent of those men listed the , then brand new Glock - 6"-.40cal as their first choice . SOCOM cancelled the scheduled field tests for new side-arms , and awarded Glock the contract . There is nothing special about the Glocks our Spec-Ops guys carry , beyond a typical "trigger" job , to get the trigger pull down to 3- 3&1/2 lbs... The threaded barrel readily accepts the silencers they already have on hand . No extra cost to the tax-payers .

How do you make a "Gun-slinger" happy ? That's easy . Give him the gun to carry he has the most confidence in .

First time I saw one ; I said it was the most "Butt-ugly" gun I had ever seen . Then I shot two boxes of good ammo thru it , and bought two , on the way home from the range . My brother shot mine a couple days later , and he bought my second one , on the spot .

Glock Perfection ? That's easy , too . It goes BANG , every time you pull the trigger . Full of mud , sand , dirt , or frozen to almost a block of ice . Run over by a tank or Hum-vee. When your life , and the lives of your team-mates are on the line . It goes BANG !..... THAT'S PERFECTION .

Only wish I'd had one in "Nam" . My H&K was the best of the best in that day , but I'd have traded it for a Glock in a heart-beat .

Guess I should have watched the "Whiner" video before I posted tonight . Last time I heard that much snivelin , was when my daughter had her first "cycle", if you know what I mean . Somebody get him/her a tampon ....Sheeessh !

Boy ; Had I watched this "Experts" video sooner , I'd have never thought about shooting those , over 1,500 .40 cal reloads through my piece of junk Glock , that he says you can't shoot reloads in . Or the over 2,000 9mm reloads I've run through my Lone Wolf barrel , which , by the way , is made to Glock prints and specs .

And for the record ; I do ALL of my loading on a single stage press , and weigh every single charge , one at a time . Careless reloaders have accidents because THEY make mistakes , being in a hurry to ' "Get it done" to go do something else , more entertaining . If you don't enjoy reloading on a single stage press , then don't reload . You're only asking for trouble . Just my own humble opinion .

And to think I wasted 20 minutes of my life thinking I could learn something , beside the fact this guy , whoever he is , shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a gun , or a loading machine .
