Hey everyone

Hey everyone new guy from Michigan. just picked up my first Mosin a few weeks back. Looking to find out some information. I have a 1943 Tula. Looks like the serial is just 16 which I thought was weird, but it's on the barrel, bolt and butt plate. There are stamps I could find online and others that I couldn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum a word of caution regarding this site. The more you visit and read you will be enticed into buying and building some very unique rifles.

If you have Roku cable TV check out the Mosin Nagant channel.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have Searched online but I haven't been able to find out a whole lot as far as certain symbols I have. Does anybody know any other good sources to find information besides what comes up with A generic Google search.

Welcome. What part of Michigan do you hail from?

Try posting some pictures of the markings in question and we shall see if we can help.

Southeast in Waterford I know I'm a stocker has the square with the X which means it has been replaced. But there's also a circle with two hammers I was curious about the serial it starts with O then a backward seven which I know was a Russian letter of some sort and Then just 16. When I get off work I'll post some pictures. Should I do it here or is there a different section that is specifically for markings?

I can't upload any pictures it says they're too big. I tried making them smaller but it still doesn't work
