mosin ejector setup

Postby farmerboy78 » Tue Dec 31, 2013 11:48 pm

Hey guys, I was taking one of my mosins apart getting ready to apply a black alumihyde coating on the metal parts... it's actually the finn that I put in the suhl stock...While taking it apart I noticed that the ejector is a one piece setup...is this normal, I've always seen them as a two part setup?

It is totally normal, it's just old setup. I have Blindee Mosin & ordered one piece ejector-extractor just to be closer to original setup... ;)

The one piece interrupter/ejector was the original design with the M91. Two piece interrupter/ejectors were easier to manufacturer and gradually replaced them.

They aren't too common, but you do run across them. I've got one in my M28/76 that is built on a 1900 Tula receiver.

Thanks for the input guys. I've had about 10 mosins apart over the years and this was my first time seeing this...
