Well all of the buck seasons have closed and yet once again this buck has eluded me. He last day of trail can pics was Saturday before rifle season. Maybe a neighbor has killed him, or maybe he'll show up in a few weeks. Every year I think he has fallen to someone else only to find he has returned as I am giving up on him.

We have one like that here too. His antlers glow they are so white, and he disappears every buck season only to reappear a couple weeks later!

Update on this buck. I last got pictures of him on Sunday the day before opening day of rifle season. On Wednesday he fell to my neighbor. I will miss chasing this old monarch, but there will be others. Oh, no ground shrinkage on that deer. He was every bit of what I hought he was.

Good way to look at it. What bullet did he take it with?

300 Win Mag and Remington coreloks at about 300 yards. Can't say I'm not a little green over it. That's the second biggest deer I have grown at the farm and not harvested either.
