I use this MTM one. It's 'Universal' but it fits the 7.62x54R like a glove... bullet down, just the way I like it! 8-)

It comes in Green or Red... easy to keep brass from different rifles separated.

I've tried several of different ammo boxes & Frankford is my favorite because it is the slimmest of all - it fits perfectly in all my range ammo boxes...

Ya, i have the 20 Count Frankford one it is nice and slim.
I have seen the MTM one but the price is awesome $2-$3, but the shipping is what kills me. They charge $9-$15 for one item. Some sites i have to order $30+ to get free shipping.

As long as the rattling in the frankford cases dont harm the ammo then ill stick with that.

I don't believe the minor rattling you're speaking of will hurt you're ammunition. Its in a plastic box, I've watch shooters do worst things to there ammo. If you hand load and have expensive brass -- I load them one at a time -- after there shot I don't let the brass hit the table or worst the ground. I don't fill the mag up cause that puts lateral scratches on your brass. Thats fine for surplus -- but not Lapua or Norma brass. At a dollar plus a brass case you take care of them. I really don't think the rattling your talking of will hunt anything.
I walk in the foot steps of Carlos Hathcock -- to my end.

Here's what I'm going with for surplus ammo. This will hold plenty of surplus.

I actually did see this link yesterday, and i was debating if i should go with it.
Do you have one and if so, how many ammo can it hold and how tall is it?
