I generally toss it in the driver's seat. If I'm walking, it's on my shoulder.

It's stored in the shop, generally with four rounds in the mag and the bolt down on an empty chamber. It's pretty handy that way.

Currently its location in the shop is leaning against a vice. I've been fitting Kermit's two-stage triggers. Generally, though, it's by the computer in easy reach or behind the door, or sometimes I take it with me and put it next to my bed.

It's a good critter gun for when I'm not wearing a holster.

Most get stored in a soft zippered case in the man cave/ arsenal. Bolt closed and decocked. They go to the range the same way.

I found this interesting deal on the internet for an aluminum 53 inch case. 53 Inch Aluminum Gun Case with Lock
Image

Here is the description
This 53'' Magnum aluminum gun case is designed for durability and security. The only person getting your gun is you. These gun cases are more like a portable vault than a piece of luggage. They are made with an aluminum casing and totally padded inside so as not to scratch up your gun. It comes with two chrome Keys and an optional combination lock so you can either open the case with your keys or with just the combination. This Gun Case will accommodate Rifles, Shotguns, and even paintball guns w/ accessories.

Looks interesting
