Well since we have the bunny target now how about we shoot that one first, That way it will give you time to come up with a target for the next one. I like the quarterly (official) shoots. We could also have bi monthly warmups that would just be to keep the skills up.

I've got some ideas for targets as well that have some other obstacles in the line of fire. So what say you oh Men of the Mosin?

That sounds good Mark! I just wanted to see if there was any interest in a consistent match schedule... I think I could make it fun too, without emptying the bank. It definitely won't happen overnight.

I'll be back on tomorrow before work... I was able to get some stuff accomplished this weekend, and will be posting some more pictures. :D

So how would I go about procuring a target for said bunny shoot? Sounds like good fun.

The quarterly "matches" sound pretty dang fun as well.

You could make one a counter sniper match with the "Huns head" target in my Mosin calendar pic. Just a thought for the monthly shoot. Or something a long those lines

Here is my zombie bunny that I shot today. I shot it off a bench using the bipod and rear bag. Range was 100 yds.

I need to shoot rifle more!!

It was a pretty nice day... mid 60's, breezy, with some consistent, long lasting gusts from 8 o'clock @ 15-18 mph. I got burned twice... one body shot that I didn't hold for, and one head shot that I held off, and the wind must have died.

I also see why people put the orange pasties on the bull's... It was a little tricky holding off pic features. BUT I didn't hit Suzie, so I'll count it a victory!! :D

Hi Mark -- the original target is 11x17 -- right?

Here is the scoring system used before, it is designed to level the playing field some what. Actual bulleyes no longer become high value targets. In this system, the high value targets are located next to penalty zones, letting the shooter decide to take the safe and easy route, or a more treacherous one

"Zombie Kill" Bullseye in head of Zombie: 10 points
"Zombie Down" hit anywhere: 5 points
"Cut a Ponytail" (anywhere in girl's ponytails): 20 points
"It's just a scratch"(Bear left Ear/HAND -The circle at the end of the arm): 15 points
"HostageKill!" (Little Girl Face): -15 points
"Can I get a Medic?" (any point on girl/bear not mentioned): -10 points

As before, the vest is Bunny Body Armor and impenetrable by even the fiercest Mosin round, and so it scores 0.

Anything that breaks a line counts for the score inside the line (they are thick enough that they are usually broken to one side or the other)

We can go with that again if you're up for it!
"Delight is to him — a far, far upward, and inward delight — who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self."
