Alright guys,
I shot this shoot today. I'm not super happy with it. I will shoot it again when I have more time. Probably after deer season. I recently took the scope off my Mosin and was going to bed the action, but when I saw/was reminded of how cheap the ATI stock is I decided not to bed it and just live with it until I get a new stock. So before I could shoot this I had to rezero my scope. It always takes a few rounds for any newly mounted scope to "settle in" in my experience. I shot about 5-6 rounds to rezero it. It bounced around a little as usual and then I thought it finally settled in. So I put it away and worked on the house for a while. About 2 hours later I got it back out and set up to shoot the cold bore shot. Well I guess the scope had not settled because you can see I missed by quite a ways. I shot the squares target next because the big square was the next biggest target. I made a couple clicks adjustment from the cold bore and hit the square ok but not center. i shot the next square and hit about the same POI. Gave it another couple clicks and shot the next square and hit fair. I decided to shoot the 3 shot group next and the first shot was just outside but about the same POI from the last square. Another couple clicks adjustment. The next two shots were in the circle and almost through the same hole. On to the hostage target, Left side first, dead bad guy, live hostage. Right side, I was getting excited about getting it zerod pretty well during all this and rushed this shot some. I'll have to check T's rules but I think I killed both. The bullet completely cut the line, with the grease line about 1mm inside the hostage, with most of the bullet being on the bad guy side. At least my scope finally settled in and I got it zeroed well. When I have time I'll shoot it again. I'm sure I can do better.
