Ok guys, I haven't been here for a long time. Time to wake up & create some mods...

Currently I'm remodeling my "Blindee Mosin" project. This rifle has detachable 10rd mag & it is originally chambered in 8mm Mauser.

Since last upgrade I've changed stock color (that's where "Black Mamba" name came up) & added barrel sleeve taken from 12 ga old shotgun...

The rifle is not finished yet. (I need to coat the stock couple more times)

I hear you on the stock finishing. more coats is best. Layering it on to thick isn't as good as many thin layers.

Barrel sleeve sound cool. And out of a shotgun barrel. Good Idea. Some people do this with a pipe not the best way. That metal in that shotgun barrel is much better especially harmonically. Have any pics of the process?

Have you considered filing it with some sort of epoxy like the TTI Straight Jacket guys do?

It is already filled with "steel epoxy liquid" from Devcon. Truly say I don't know what TTI uses for such purposes... I just decided to go my way...
The space between two barrels is so insignificant - maybe 1.5 -2 mm max at widest areas... it is one ridged piece. At close inspection impossible to tell that it is actually barrel in barrel & like tampered profile of finished barrel very much!

have you been able to get it to the range? Also how much did it ad to the weight?

No, I didn't have a chance to test it at the range yet. As soon as I'll finish the stock, I'll do it.
It became heavier, but not much, just add a weight of shotgun barrel... the weight of epoxy filling is very insignificant.
