Under certain angle it looks kind of greenish but actually it is black...
I'm thinking about engraving head of attacking Black Mamba snake on the cheek rest...
So, what do you think about it guys?

I hope that means you would not have to refinish it.. It would be a shame to ruin such a nice finish. On the other hand you could paint it in and add another clear coat over that.

Either way it's a cool idea.

Black Mamba == Two Stepper --- once bitten the victim gets about 2 steps or about 30-40 seconds and nighty night. I think it would be perfect. Being that the stock is black finished, are you going to do some type of white art work?

Yes nobody want to mess with this creature even though it doesn't look so intimidating as cobra, just like my rifle! Right... wait till it bites! ;)

White or even light gray... not black. Awesome combination!

I'll try to make a test on some flat wood block & at the same time will make a search to find some professional local engraver... I really don't want to mess it here...

You could look to have it laser engraved. That stuff comes out pretty cool. Here's an ammo box a guy did for me with a laser engraver.

Just a side thought you could always do another rifle in a green color scheme as the green mamba.

Black Mamba

Postby iridium-192 » Sun Dec 29, 2013 11:17 am

Just came back from a range! For a long time I haven't seen so many people... So I shared a range with other folks which were blown away with my Mamba! :)
I can declare now that the rifle performs the way I expected to, so I'm pleased. Not as accurate as UM2 but it is understandable.

The range was a bit longer then 100yds.
Sierra .200 gr bullets made better average groups then Nosler .180 gr (black ones)
& the rifle shoots better without muzzle brake (so I have a nice bump on my forehead from a scope)))))
As far as a scope - it is the best I ever had! So clear... Unbelievable... I don't need spotting scope any longer.
