Looking for a Dragoon. Found an American made Dragoon but friend won't let it go.

So work has begun on my mod. I got the pillar holes drilled out for hte front pillar, but need to put the action in the stock to ensure that the holes are marked correctly. The current hole that came pre done is square and not big enough to put the pillar in also I don't have a 1/2" drill bit to drill it out. I also and waiting for my Brownell's Steel Bedding to get in tomorrow so I can set the pillars. also I need to mark and cut out a portion of the rear pillar to accommdate the Timney trigger I have. Other than cutting the barrel down just behind the front site and removing the rear site it should be done by Friday. Hope all goes well....

Update.... rifle build has gone slow between pre-deployment fun stuff and everyday work. I have the time coming up in 2 weeks while on vacation. hope to get it shot before I leave so I have a year to figure out what to do to it next or what the next project will look like. Already have a list a mile long of what I will do different next time. 1) WILL NOT USE ATI STOCK!! Anyways It is looking good just need to put the rear pillar in and let it set. May do that this weekend so it is cured by the 23 when I start vacation. I cannot wait to get it finiahed so I can go to the range!!! Oh to be retired so I have lots of time to mod..... 2 years 21 days to go!!!! Then I have to grow up...

Update-----> I have finished the rifle short of cutting the barrel down and mounting the RSI scope mount. I am also considering doing the barrel mod that Russian Reload did to his. I will post pix of its current state A.S.A.P. I haven't worked much on it since the last update. Deployement got in the way and now college. But college is slowing a little so hope to get some more done.

Update...... I am even closer to finishing my bull barrel MN mod... I have finally gotten some hydrostone to do a bull barrel build like RR.. Working on the steel pipe. Still have some sanding to do. Have a new barrel and action, again, I am going to use for the build. It is a M44 and picked it up for $50. It is just the receiver & barrel. I have a gunsmith ready to fit the pipe to the barrel. Then I will mount the RSI scope mount. I hope to be finished finally after the first of the year. Have time coming up with the break between classes. Will take updated pictures the next time I work on it.

I need to thank everyone here for a lot of the ideas I have for this build have come from all of you.... Thanks!!

Well since my last update things haven't gone so well, but they are improving. I had time today to work on this build and did a fit check for the pipe over the barrel. The pipe is just a LITTLE big. Need to see how a 1" pipe will work. But other than that, the build is moving again.
