Full auto fun

Postby Gamecock24 » Sat May 17, 2014 1:25 pm

I had a little fun at the range today with some buddies that had some cool toys. A buddy from a local forum I'm a member of has a 60's Colt M16. Of course we were using some different working uppers on it too. This was so much FUN :D enjoy

The 545 rocks. Love that round. All the potency of a 223 but with half the kick so you can actually manage it in full auto. Russians thought out that cartridge. Someday I will make a varmenting gun out of that cartridge. I would use 220Russian brass. Should make a very sweet short range bench gun too. They are taking all the trophies right now in 1-200 bench.

Nice... Nothing pleases the ear so much as a burst of full auto rifle... I would struck down the ban just for sake of esthetics )))

The 5.45 upper has a piston system on it and seemed to run really fast. I was going to build a 5.45 AR upper until the ATF ban on 7n6.
Jerry unfortunately the M16 lower isn't mine but I will bring my ARs to WV. I did swap the scope on DMR, that I showed you, today right before I left the range. I also think I got my M500 some what zeroed. I hit the 8" steel plate twice at 100yds and knocked over both times so I didn't shoot at the steel anymore. I also shot a PSL today and that was awesome too now I really need one of those too. Overall I had a great day which I just finished off with some BBQ.
