I just ordered 500 6.5mm berger hybrid 140gr bullets, gonna see how they do against the vld...all that I've read says they will do the same or better.

The hybrids are much easier to load and much more forgiving and more consistant shooters in my opinion. It's a shame they don't have a hybrid hunter yet in 6.5mm. I'd be all over them. The 6mm hybrid hunters shoot awesome in my 243. Just been doing some testing and load work with them. It's just a 20" pencil thin barrel. So far these will outshoot any load I've put thru it. I'll test them on deer this fall.

Jared your results sound just like what I have been reading, my rifle has a #13 bartlein barrel and I have to say I am totally impressed with their product...as well as the xlr industries stuff, this element chassis is more than I expected... I have a little more than in to do on my timney calvin elite trigger, but I have heard that jewel triggers are the best, but to me it will be hard to beat this trigger...it goes down to 8oz in pull weight! Very happy with the setup!!!

Is the 6.5-06 very similar to the 26 Nosler ?

No, it's like a 6.5x284...from what I've read, it's not as picky and it is very smooth feeding...the 26 nosler is way bigger, it's based off of the .404 Jeffrey.

From what I ve read the 26 Nosler is a barrel burner big time. One guy said his barrel was burnt out at like 400 rounds. That is crazy short life. I'm sure not all barrels will wear that fast but I can't imagine they will have very long of a life.

I shot this angel of death again along with my Creedmoor. ..shot them both at 536yds...love this rifle, my 6.5-06 bucks the wind a lot with the 140 berger hybrid...it has nearly half the wind drift as my Creedmoor. ..and on a side note, I bought another mag for this chassis, it's an actual accuracy international. 300 win mag magazine. ..and for anyone who wants to do a similar build, a 30-06 family cartridge will reliably feed from a 300 win mag as long as you tweek the last 3/4" of the feed lips on the magazine. ..slightly bend them inward and it will work like a charm...

Well guys, I haven't been totally satisfied with the velocity of my custom 6.5-06 with the accurate 4350...I went t a gun shop and they had some reloader 25 on the shelf so I picked up a pound to do some more load development. I haven't had a chance to chronograph this load, but I can say this is a very consistent powder for this cartridge. Every load is submoa, but some really stand out... I started at 53gr and worked up to 56gr of re 25...I began to get a slightly sticky bolt at 56gr so I didn't go any further with the charges... the picks show my outside to outside sizes, but here are the center to center sizes:

53gr -.309"
53.5gr -.154"
54 gr -.132"
54.5gr -.22"
55gr -.099"
55.5gr -.313"
50gr -.256"

Obviously there is a standout in these groups, I'd say 55gr is the go to load for my rifle... so here is the run down on my rifle and load combo... my 5r bartlein barrel is 25.5" long from the face of the action and is a sendero contour. I am shooting it suppressed. My load is reformed nosler .280 brass, 140gr berger hybrid, wlr primers, and 55gr of reloader 25... I will chronograph it asap and give the result.

Guys, I do my load work at 50yds, just know that!

Looking like a great shooter. I didn't see your final line about 50 yards until after I saw the photos. Either way those are some promising groups for sure. I've never tried that powder before. Now I'm curious.
