Yea I thought bling it wouldn't take a lot of bedding compound just a lite skim coat. I'm getting alittle ahead of myself and need figure the scope I want first then see how it shoots first. Then I will know what and if I need to do anything. I'm just excited about a new rifle and want it to be perfect.

I don't know why the word "bling" was inserted into my last post. All I know is the new auto correct in my iPhone 6 makes too assumptions. I'd rather have a misspelled word closer to what I am trying to say than some random word from left field that makes absolutely no sense.

Yea. I agree 100%. I get the same thing every day. It's very frustrating. Somewhere in the options you can turn the auto correct off. But I don't know exactly how.

I use Murphy Precision Bases. If your just call them and tell them what gun it is the right screws will be in the base when they send it. I highly recommend them also. Great company, product, and service. Precision Milled steel bases in several available degree + cants. Several finishes to choose from also.

I like that Murphy base in bead blasted SS. That will go well the SS action and barrel. I'll have to look at their rings also once I pick a scope. The NF base is cool too because it has its own recoil lug.

I was hoping to receive my new rifle today but it's held up in Kentucky due to snowy weather. Boo snow.

Thanks y'all. I just ordered the scope base from Sport Optics. I'm still saving up for the scope but with lots of overtime hours it shouldn't take too long get it.
