The Mosin Nagant Model 1907 Carbine: At 289 mm (11.4 in) shorter and 0.95 kg (2.1 lb) lighter than the M1891, this model was excellent for cavalry, engineers, signalers, and artillerymen. It's stock goes nearly to the front sight and therefore would not allow for the use of a bayonet. This model was produced until at least 1917 but in very small numbers.
