OH by the way Criterion barrels is considering making a pre fit medium contour replacement barrels for Mosins. Might want to keep an eye out for that.

Check ebay of all places if your looking for a barrel, BUT I think you could buy a .308 barrel cheaper. I cannot disclose any details at the moment but I do know of a couple barrel companies that are getting ready to start selling Mosin barrels

As far as your 28/30 goes that rifle is worth a lot as it is, I have one and the year I have the Finns olny produced 2000 of them. So my suggestion is leave it alone. You can go to Pat Burns and sometimes they have M39 actions at a decent price. Anyway leave that Finn alone, it's money in the bank at the moment.

Criterion may make a barrel for the Mosin. They have been asking me for CAD drawings and such.
