it would be fun to have a Mosin day at one of the ranges. maybe something like a car show with mosins instead. . it could be a no range deal but maybe people would freak out seeing us show up someplace with a lot of riffles. other rifles would be ok as long as the main focus is our mosins. what do you think. maybe plan it after the summer heat but before thanks giving. i do not mind helping putting it together. all ideas welcome.

Hey that sounds fun, maybe we can get Oaktree's rifle range for the day? I'll have to see what it would require. It's a really nice facility with a food services and a gun shop. Fall sounds awesome. Who knows maybe we could incise DevilDog down from the Great North West.

I like that idea, gentlemen. Perhaps, pick someplace central per Southern California?

Definitely outdoors, with multiple lanes so we can cycle clusters of Mosinites through.

Some decent amenities nearby so can we have a Vodka afterwards and play Russian music without starting a fight with some old timers. haha. ( humor ) Actually, I grew up in a time where Russia was clearly thought of as the enemy.

How times have changed since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Vodka for Everybody ! ( after we safely shoot of course. )

Oak Tree will let you shoot surplus. It's also a few miles from my house :) Great range with lots of amenities and plenty of restaurants close by. $20 a day range fee that also includes the pistol range.

The rifle range isn't open every day, but they advertise their rifle shoot from 12pm-10pm every Friday. They also have lights.

I should be over there tomorrow afternoon giving my 1932 Izzy ex-dragoon and my Browning .22 pistol a workout.

Burro would be a good place as well, but you will have to have non-magnetic ammo.

...unless they declare it a wet season. Which, from what I understand, did not happen this last winter

man oak tree sounds pretty good to me. i might try it out some friday. i live in chino hills. i need to use some of my 3 spam cans.
i just got my Rumanian M-44 back together. never fired a Mosin Carbine before. :P

a month ago i got my first Mosin a Big 5 1942 IZZY. i have this mosin sickness bad. next week i pick up my 1935 hex IZZY. that will be # 5. i was happy with 1 then the sickness took over. all i think about is mosins. i have a nice new Savage bolt in .223 that i got just before mosin # 1. im thinking of selling it. i could put a sniper on lay away with the money. see i am sick.
