It should be lower based on friction, lower friction, less bullet drag higher velocities

Regarding moly coated bullets...
During last range session with 8mm Mauser I used lighter bullets - moly coated & heavier bullets - regular Sierra MatchKing. cartridges for both bullets were charged with exactly the same powder & same weight... I didn't measure a speed (which I'll do next time) but noticeably all moly coated bullets got placed about 1" or so lower then Sierra so much so I had to readjust my scope for bullet drop.......
Weird to say at least... :?

Dymitry -- I've used the black moly 175 gr SMKs. I never graphed them either. To be honest the only difference I've seen is the black molys were more accurate. After watching this video I switch out every 50 rounds now till I run out of moly coated bullets. I've been following a gentleman on youtube -- Sniper 101 -- has a good video on moly coatings -- pros and cons. Hope this answers some questions.

Future Desh?
Image
Should True up pretty easy. Took my micrometer to it and it has all the characteristics of a winner. By the way anyone want a Pic rail for the rear site?

Or maybe this will be future Desh

This CAD model still needs a lot of work. Will make it a hex receiver and build in a pic rail. Should make it supper strong but then I have to find someone to CNC it.

Go ahead and have few made up if you're going to go through all that trouble to have a receiver custom milled. I'd take one. It's looking good.

What CAD program are you using?

Thanks. I made that in google sketch up which is a little limited. Using AutoCad Fusion 360 now. Will see what I can make. I would like to build a pic rail into it to to stiffen it up a lot. She will take a nice heavy barrel withough so much as a drop of sweat. Cool thing about autocad is I can do stress test and analysis. But that will come later. I have a lot to learn about CAD yet.

I use ACAD all day everyday but only the Civil3D version. I'll have to look into fusion 3D.

I am going to make it into a hex receiver soon. This should simplify the CNC work. Also got to bridge the receiver and fill in the striper clip notches. Should be pretty beastly. Will have two front recoil lugs and those I will also make wider for more surface area.

Why not use one in the front and use a modern lug between the barrel and receiver

Your calling "lug between the receiver modern"? please don't get me started. Your thinking of a Remington 700. A really old design by the way. This action below is a modern design. Note the integrated recoil lug.
