I just thought I'd post this here as I am a little proud of it. On another forum a fellow posted a hunting style shoot. No benches to shoot from. Shots must be taken from hunting positions and you must return to a walking position before each shot. Range 100 yards. 5 shots. I could not print the target so I replicated it with a compass and engineers scale. Blue is an X, first ring a 10, then next a 9, then 8 and so forth.
First shot cold bore was from prone, 9" bipod, 3" field bag for rear support. Almost dead center. 102 yards
Second was from 107 yards shooting off my tall bipod, back resting against porch post like a tree. In the blue x ring slightly low of center.
Third shot no bipod, sitting back against the same post. Shot at 5 o'clock in 9 ring.
Fourth shot 107 yards, I kneeled and leaned the rifle against the side of a porch post, like you would rest against the side of a tree. Low in the x ring again.
Fifth shot I sat in a triangle style hunting chair and got a rest of of the top of a porch post like I would a hunting shack window sill. No rear support. Shot at 7 o'clock or so in the 10 ring.
So I got a 49/50 with 3 X's. Being the tough positions and a few extra yards, I'm a little proud of that. X ring was 1 3/4" and 10 ring was 3 3/8".
