buy a jar of his white or natural 1/3 mix $10 for 4 oz. it is same as used on 1980's and 1900's gunstocks like finn and others that were not shellaced by a 3 year old russian art student with a 12" brush and a 55 gallon drum of shellac.then another art student applied the russian ear wax over the whole rifle as thick as they could. :D

Well you can steam out the dents and dings. Deep gouges you could fill with wood filler IF you needed to. Sometimes those distressed stocks look cool if you finish them correctly.

Oh BTW nice job on the stock. Lest see it with the action installed.
