Spare Parts

OK here is a topic that I don't think has been raised anywhere yet.
Spare Parts for repairs and restoration

While our beloved Mosins are very rugged there are several parts that can break or easily be lost. I know that they can be found at the moment but shouldn't you have a few spares in the parts box?
Trigger pins being the easiest to loose I think keeping a good store of these around is essential, seers would be the other but what else do you guys think.

Def stamped front and rear barrel springs. The pins brake on them quite easily.

i make trigger pins out of mosin nagant cleanig kit rod. there were 2 sizes of rods. 1 is same size as og pin while other is larger diameter. it is small dia that is same. i make 3-4 pins from 1 rod... i had over 250 cleaning kits and have sold 180 so far on ebay. i bought incomplete kits in addition and gave most stuff of those away as pay it forward such as multi tool (ussr on here got one)if you need a trigger pin i can send you one. on ebay i am billmaykafer.

I'm missing the nut for a crossbolt, anyone got an extra?

Every snowflake is unique. There are uncountable grains of sand on the beach. Mosin-Nagants are like sandy snowflakes. You’ll never get all the ones you want.
