Looking for a good price on Privi Partisan 182 grain

Postby Marauder 1 » Tue Dec 13, 2011 12:10 pm

I'm in the market for a few boxes of Privi Partisan 182 grain ammo. Anyone got a good price for it. I'm buying a few more boxes before I start reloading.
Thanks
Mark

The prvi brass is decent to reload, but not as heavy as the Norma or Lapua new brass. I have actually split prvi cases which were full length resized over 3-4 times using a hot load. This makes them a good 'canary in the coal mine' for detecting close to unsafe loads, but check them carefully after each use.

That being said, if you fire it in the same rifle, you can usually get away with neck sizing and a trim, and they will last longer.

I do have some Winchester brass but not a lot of it, I was thinking the Privi brass is a good place to start since it's cheap and I already have about 100 expended rounds available. I've heard the S&B and Lupia brass are a lot thicker than Privi.

Thanks
Mark
