Try not to laugh me off the forum for this.....
I was working out on the reloading bench earlier and thought i would share.
Let me start off by saying i don't pull bullets very often but when i do i have a unorthodox yet effective method.
here it is
its a drill chuck that came with my cement mixer/drill motor.
but it actually works pretty well as a bullet puller
First i load a round into the shell holder and raise the ram to the top
then tighten the chuck onto the bullet to be pulled but not so tight that it would deform the bullet.
Then lower the ram just as you would with a normal bullet puller and it comes right out no problem.
There she is.
The bullets come out without a scratch. And no these are not sierra bullets, just an old sierra box. These are Monarch (Barnaul?) 185gr FMJBT.
It actually goes pretty fast once you get into a rhythm. And i am yet to deform or ruin a bullet doing it this way.
I would just buy a bullet puller but i figure i shouldn't waste the money if the system i use works. Plus it works with multiple calibers.
Anyways i know its kinda funny but i just thought i would share.
thanks for looking
