accurate reloads

Postby farmerboy78 » Mon Mar 02, 2015 2:46 pm

Hey guys I just wanted to show a few of the calibers that I am reloading for... .308 190 SMK 7.62x54r, 140 berger 6.5 Creedmoor, 140 berger 6.5-06! I use norma brass almost exclusively for the 7.62x54r, but I am using lapua for the 190gr SMK since the longer bullet will negate the shorter brass...I have nosler .280 brass for the 6.5-06 that I will trim to length once I get my rifle back, but I am using .270 win brass trimmed to length to use for breaking in the barrel... I have .243 norma brass to use for the 6.5 Creedmoor, but I will have to pick up a neck turner since the norma brass is pretty thick and left a doughnut when I reformed 2 cases. I have some once fired rp brass that I reformed and will use until then, it is quite a bit thinner than the norma...

I'm loading 762x54r standard --- 762x54r Improved and 500 S&W Magnum. My 30 caliber loads are .308 and on the heavy end 175-220 gr bullets. I use Federal primers and mostly IMR powders. My 500 loads are heavy to start and heavy to finish 300 - 600 gr bullets.

Man that 6.5-06 looks pretty awesome.

Lately i have been loading 7.62x54r almost exclusively.
I've been playing around doing some mexican match stuff (185gr bullets).

And trying to work up a new load for my M44 sporter using H4895 with 174 grain sierras with winchester brass and primers. still need to get out to the range to see what charge shoots best.
