Never used any of the Hornady "steel-cased" ammo ; but I had a similar experience with the Silver Bear - nickel plated cases in mine . Had to really thump the bolt handle a few times to get it to release. Gave me a concern about head-spacing at first . And I am OCD about cleaning my chamber . Like ; after every shooting session . I use a 20 gauge shot-gun brush on a low speed drill , with CLP , followed up with a oiled mop, and then clean rag to remove the "stuff" and then a mop with a couple drops of 3in1 oil. Comes out clean , shiny and very lightly lubed. And the "Silver Bear" is the only ammo I've ever had a issue with , and I shoot lots of different mil-surp , plus hand loads . Is the nickel-plated case causing the issue ?
If not me.....Who ?
If not now ....When ?
