I've been shooting the S&B brass in my F-class , Open Div. rifle for a couple of years now . It has held up really good with loads that are slightly above the so-called "Book Max" loads , and I'm on my 5th and 6th reloads now .
Please be aware ; that I have a F-class style , Mosin chamber , done by David Fair at CCA . And the brass prep on each reload group is typically OCD for shooting L/R . Cases are annealed , F/L sized ,trimmed , de-burred , and a expander used to bring the neck I.D. to .307 ....My comp load for 600 yards is :
S&B Large Rifle primer ( not available anymore )
Brass Trimmed to : 2.110
43.3gr Varget
Berger 185gr Target Hybrid
3.365" BTO (.005 off throat touch)
M.V. off V-3 is 2680 avg.
SD - 6 .....ES - 9
The brass will hold up good as long as you have a good chamber to shoot it in . One that has not been over-sized relating to diameters . Watch for excessive growth of length after F/L re-size , and case stretch near base .
Hope that answers your question ...
