Finally a place to load again.....

Postby ShootnMathews » Tue May 20, 2014 6:52 pm

Well we moved into the new house Easter weekend but all my loading stuff was still in my woodshop at the old house. Not that I've really had time to load anyways lately but now I need to get loading for June. My wife brought home an old work desk they were throwing out at her work. It was a little rickety, but I put a crossbrace out of some conduit I had lying around across the back which stiffened it right up. I bolted my press down and threw on some powder and brass. I may try to start loading this week some. I'm just glad to be able to start easing up on the house some. It still isn't "done". Lots of stuff to do but at least I don't have to work on it every day now.

Isn't nice to have a space to do what needs doing. Your bench is cool cause you recycled. I like that part the most. Is it bolted to the wall? I had to put 2 L brackets on mine to make not move when I stroke the press. You've got a good supply of Hodgdon by the looks of it. I hope I can find some powder when I come down in June. You've don't a great job -- but as far as your new house goes -- It's going to be an on going project if you like to build, you'll make it your own. My Brother bought a house in 69 and they just finished maybe 5 years ago. Hes 74.

The bench isn't mounted to the wall yet. I did think about that but the bench feels pretty sturdy as is so I figured I'd try it out first.

I have a little powder. Not what I'd like to have. I have a can of Varget, H4831SC , Retumbo and IMR4350 all unopened. And a partial can of Varget, H4831Sc, Retumbo and a can of H4350 that's had 5 cases loaded out of. This powder is for several calibers though so its not as much as it sounds.

I think I have another unopened can of H4831SC somewhere. I'll have to look better.

I have plenty of primers to a while. And two full boxes of smk and a full box of hornaday match. I'd really like to find some more powder and bullets.

It won't be quite as neat as that once I get some loading done but I do keep my bench pretty Clean. Helps keep contaminants out of...well everything. Thanks for the kind words Everyone.

Wow. I didn't know I liked reloading so much. These past few days I've been prepping brass to load for this summer and I've really enjoyed myself.
