Hornaday 208 grain 308 bullets

I've always like the Hornady bullets, wish they made more in the .3105 size.

I have debated trying those a number of times in my mosin. It slugs .309". It shot 1" groups with 125 grain .308" bullets and 3/4" with 150 grain .308" bullets. I bet those might do well in mine and they are a great match grade hunting bullet. BUT, hornady has released a new ELD bullet that is basically a redesigned amax. The talk in the Long range world is that the ELD is replacing it the amax and The amax will no longer be available.

The best part is the ELD comes in two styles the ELD and the ELD-X. The "X" is a hunting version. So I'm all excited about that.
