I ; also , feel bad that you've had a poor experience with your Glock , Iridium . The only changes I've made to my G22-.40 cal are the trigger plate and springs to reduce trigger pull to 2 lbs., after some slight filing on the trigger plate . This was all done by my local Glockmeister Gunsmith , with standard Glock parts . Think it was around $25-26.00 dollars . And mine is a Gen3 , LEO turn-in. Slide was tight , and barrel looked brand new when I got it three and a half years ago . . Did have holster wear on front of slide , but I can live with that .
My remarks toward the very "un-scientific" test were directed toward the methodology the gentleman used in his "test". A good scientific ballistic comparison test would have been to use two brand new barrels of each manufacturer , and ammo that was hand-loaded for accuracy . The reason I say this about the ammo he used , is because I've pulled that ammo in .40cal apart and found as much as a half grain variation in their loads . Not very consistent for "statistics", evaluations .
I have carried many different handguns both as a civilian , and in combat , in many places around the world , and my own personal conclusion is that the Glock-22 .40 is the finest combat handgun ever created . And apparently SOCOM ( Special Operations Command ) is in agreement , because they have adopted the Glock 6" .40cal as the "official" carry weapon for all Spec-Ops troops , and finally dumped that POS 92F . When you pull the trigger , Glocks go BANG .It's not called the AK-47 of handguns without reason .That's all I need to know .
I don't carry a Glock because it's "pretty" , a Range Queen , or is the latest , greatest , flavor of the month in all the gun magazines . I carry it because it works , first time , every time .
If not me.....Who ?
If not now ....When ?
