Maybe California DOJ Roster is not a bad thing after all, pretty soon there will not be any other pistols allowed but Glock (not Gen4, but still, perfect... ) They just want to make us all happy and live in safe and perfect world, just like Glock company

I saw a video on YouTube 5 years or so ago of a guy firing a dozen or so pistols under water. All of the pistols except for 2, the barrels ruptured or bulged severely on the first shot. Of the 2 remaining, one bulged slightly on the next shot and he stopped with it. The last pistol left on the 3rd shot the barrel was still fine so he pulled the cord repeatedly, rapid firing it under water. He did get 2 jams because the cases were not clearing the the area and the slide closed on the spent case while loading the next round. He did empty the mag with no damage to the pistol. The pistol left standing, a glock. Not saying I plan on needing to dispatch a bad guy while scuba diving. (The bullet only travels about 10'), but it's nice to know if my glock ever got soaked that it would still fire safely.

Edit. BTW I know someone is wondering. The only other pistol that went 2 shots. A 1911

I've tried two aftermarket mag releases, both caused mag to be released in a holster sometimes. Even though I don't like factory mag release due to its short size, yet it is exactly what makes it better.... The mag will never fall off from the gun, unless you intentionally push it...

Apparently the glock gen 4 is not as reliable. Since mentioning the video I searched for it. I did not find that video but found several others torture testing glock gen 4 and they did terrible. They were testing 9mm glocks so maybe a 40 would have done better. More recoil may have helped with cycling. The 9 mms that I keep seeing tested all start short cycling once the get super dirty or submerged in water. I watched one group of guys test many pistols. MOST of which would even fire under water. The water slowed the hammer swing down enough that they only got light primer strikes. The sig 229 would not fire at all under water. The glock would fire once but not fully engage the slide when closing on the next shell. It appeared to be closed but would not fire. What got me though is after pulling them out of the water the sig fired fine all soaking wet. The glock short cycled every shot until it was dried out. I guess they aren't what they used to be.

In these guys testing. A 1911 did the best. It cycled fine full of dirt, water, and submerged. They actually fired 4 full mags under water with it until the barrel split finally. I really yhink a 40 sw glock would have done better. I don't think a 9 has enough recoil to function while obstructed. I am not a 9mm fan. I own one and only one. Will not buy another. 40 s&w or 45's for me. 9 mm 's are just weak. 9mm in my opinion is good for one thing. Target practice.

It always the same, more added complexity to a mechanism, more chances things to go wrong...
If I ever experience cycling problems, it was either with 9mm or fancy bottle necked .357 sig...
No wonder, underpowered 9mm caused problems in short barreled G26...
Sig has its own issues, a lever which is responsible for resetting a trigger & leaving a hammer in cocked position, while cycling, wears off pretty fast. I've replaced it once already & there is not much left from the replacement now... There isn't other solution, but replacing it every couple years...

I am with you Dmitry. Wont touch a block. Not with a ten foot pole. Think they are ugly as horse poop.

I read somewhere that the Russian special forces won't even touch a Glock because they are not reliable enough.
