If you're having trouble finding your favorite loading powder for your pet M-N ; take a serious look at the Vivatouri N-150 and N-160 powders . They are very compatible for our Mosin's and my early testing shows the N-160 to be comparable with the 4350 range of powder . At current ; I have only had to adjust my 4350 load by a couple of tenths to maintain velocity and near the same POI at 600 yrds. Seating depth has not changed . So if you find your favorite powder to be unavailable , give the VV's a look . The N-150 works well with the lighter weight bullets , 150gr - 168gr - 175gr . Recommend the N160 for bullet weights 185gr and 200gr .
F class competitors shooting the 284cal brass are currently using nearly identical loads to my M-N load and reaching 2800 fps with the slightly smaller cartridge's .Check the load data for M-N at the Vivatouri Load data web site .
